OK I admit, very few of us are lucky enough to have footage of patagonia to use as a storytelling backdrop. But what I love about this video is that it is a story. Not just an explanation but a story. The creators worked to find a story amongst the footage that they have to weave together something incredibly beautiful. Many times when people create videos they forget to tell a story. That is something we should be focused on is telling a story with a beginning midle and end. Regardless of whether or not you have visited patagonia, you can still tell a story.

Adorable always wins. Do you interact or work with any element of cuteness? Can you get that on video? Even though this is just essentially a home video of an adroable puppy it could work as an illustration for a voice over. Many times people think what they show on screen has to be an exact example or representation of their work or message. Metaphor, similie, comparisons, these are all effective means of conveying a message. Feel free to think of new creative ways to get your audience’s attention, because if they don’t watch it, they won’t pay attention to it. So you need to start somewhere.

This one might be a little bit harder to tie directly into a business but there is a lesson to be learned from this video. If your business or brand has access to something completely unique and original, this is a great way to set yourself apart via video. Capture that truly one-of-a-kind thing on video to showcae the uniqueness that you offer. This can be challenging if everything you do is exactly the same as your competitors, and it would actually be a good chance for you to experiment and figure out what new thing you could add.
